Understanding Microsoft’s CPOR Model and More

Spotlight: Understanding Microsoft’s CPOR Model

The Claiming Partner of Record (CPOR) model is a cornerstone of Microsoft’s partner ecosystem, designed to recognize and reward partners who actively drive customer success across Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 workloads.

With CPOR, partners can associate themselves with customer tenants (no admin access required), while gaining access to valuable data such as usage metrics and seat counts. That data can then be used to tailor services, optimize licensing, and demonstrate value to clients.

By establishing CPOR, partners can earn credit towards a Solutions Designation, become eligible for Microsoft incentives, and gain visibility into customer engagement trends – all of which help to proactively support adoption and retention efforts.

Understanding and leveraging CPOR not only strengthens your relationship with Microsoft, but also enhances your ability to deliver high-impact services. Whether you’re deploying Microsoft 365, implementing Dynamics 365, or optimizing Power Platform usage, CPOR provides the data and recognition needed to scale your impact.
