- Over 200 responses from Microsoft VARs, ISVs, and customers.
- Focused on marketing effectiveness, lead sharing, and content consumption across the buying journey.
- Key Findings
- Marketing Techniques: ISVs rank conference booths, LinkedIn, and website optimization as top strategies. VARs, however, value network referrals and email marketing more highly.
- Lead Sharing Disconnect: A significant mismatch exists, as ISVs claim they frequently share leads, while VARs report rarely receiving them.
- AppSource Usage: Mixed feedback. While ISVs hear most from customers via AppSource, VARs are more likely to engage through it. Many use it for validation rather than discovery.
- Content Consumption by Buying Stage:
- Education Stage: Podcasts and whitepapers are most consumed.
- Comparison Stage: Video demos and case studies dominate.
- Decision Stage: Product trials and customer references are key.
- Webcast Trends
- Webcast registrations and attendance are up significantly year-over-year.
- Both live and simulive formats perform well, with on-demand viewership growing by 74%.
3. Jason’s Final Thoughts: Jason emphasized the importance of targeted, digital-first marketing strategies and the value of editorial integrity. He encouraged partners to contribute content and engage with MSDynamicsWorld’s educational resources.
