Starting April 1, 2025, Microsoft will implement significant updates to its pricing and billing structures to standardize practices across platforms and reflect the value of Microsoft’s products. xMonthly wants to help both partners and clients understand these future Microsoft price changes, as that understanding will be incredibly important for their continued success and future finances. Here’s what you need to know:
Key Changes
Price Increase for Annual Subscriptions Billed Monthly:
- A 5% price increase will be applied to annual subscriptions with monthly billing plans. One can pay a 12-month upfront sum for their annual subscription to avoid this price increase, but otherwise if they elect to pay monthly for an annual subscription, they should expect a 5% price increase.
Product-Specific Price Adjustments:
- For the first time, Microsoft Teams Phone Standard and Power BI products will see a price adjustment. The new prices are as follows:
*More Flexibility With Copilot Billing Plans
- Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot for Sales, and Microsoft 365 Copilot for Serviceย can now all be billed monthly with a 5% premium, as opposed to being available exclusively as an annual, upfront sum payment/commitment.

To ensure a smooth transition, Microsoft encourages partners and customers to:
- Familiarize themselves with the upcoming changes through the Microsoft Partner Center.
- Attend CSP Briefing sessions (such as those hosted by xMonthly) for detailed information and support.
- Review resources and FAQs provided by Microsoft.
